  Why Amazon planning to Layoff? Amazon plans to lay off up to 10,000 "business and technology" employees worldwide, The New York Times reported Monday. This follows a string of layoffs and hiring freezes, most notably at Meta, which laid off more than 11,000 employees last week. The main reason is that demand has declined as the world emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic.
